After years of patiently waiting, Ketchum author Charlie Brandt has finally seen his book “I Hear You Paint Houses” about the man suspected of killing labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa come to the big screen.
Twelve-time Oscar nominee Martin Scorsese directed the film “The Irishman” with a heavy hitting cast that includes Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Anna Paquin. The film, considered a major contender for an Oscar, will be released in movie theaters on Nov. 1 before becoming available for streaming at Netflix on Nov. 27.
A limited theatrical movie-tie-in edition of Brandt’s book retitled “The Irishman” and featuring the movie stars on the cover, was released this week. And Chapter One Bookstore will hold a release party and book signing event from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at The Hangout at Hotel Ketchum, 600 N. Main St. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
