Patricia L. Brolin-Ribi was duly elected and installed as president of the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood at the organization’s biennial convention Sept. 20-25. Brolin-Ribi is a member of P.E.O. Chapter AM, Hailey, Idaho.

As president of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Brolin-Ribi will supervise all state and local chapters, render decisions on points of order and practice and interpret the rules and laws governing the Sisterhood. She is also responsible for appointing boards and committees. She will preside over the 2023 International Convention of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Originally from western Montana and a graduate of the University of Montana, Brolin-Ribi earned a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communications and a Juris Doctor degree in law. She practiced law in Montana and Idaho for 30 years and retired in 2015.

She lives in Sun Valley with her husband Nils Ribi.

Active in numerous community groups, Brolin-Ribi volunteers with the Sun Valley Music Festival and the Boulder Mountain Ski Tour. She is a Trustee Emeritus of the University of Montana Foundation.

P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) has been celebrating women helping women reach for the stars for more than 150 years. Since its inception in 1869, the nonprofit organization has helped more than 116,000 women pursue educational goals by providing over $383 million in grants, scholarships, awards and loans.

The Sisterhood also owns and supports Cottey College. Through membership, the P.E.O. Sisterhood has brought together more than a half a million women in the United States and Canada who are passionate about helping women advance through education, while supporting and motivating them. In addition to the educational philanthropies, the P.E.O. Sisterhood provides a framework of support and community for all members.

What started with a bond of friendship among seven women in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is now one of the oldest women’s organizations in North America with close to 6,000 chapters.
