The Papoose Club is holding an Open House at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden.
The open house is for men and women who would like to learn more about the club, which stages three iconic fundraisers each year to raise money for youth projects throughout the valley. The 67-year-old Papoose Club raises funds through three events each year: The Wagon Days Pancake Breakfast, Holiday Bazaar at Hemingway STEAM School and Webb Plant Sale.
Its projects include helping the Kiwanis Club provide swings for city parks, purchasing 20 strider bikes for Hemingway STEAM School, funding the Silver Creek High School Holiday Feast, purchasing books for Hailey Library’s teen collection and sending students to Company of Fools matinees.
The organization also sponsors the annual Kindercup Ski Race at Dollar Mountain, which has become a rite of passage for valley youth, and the Nordic Cup for children.
The Papoose Club will also honor some lifetime member at Monday’s open house.
