You could own Phil, a 1977 Ford F150 Ranger pickup with a rebuilt big-block engine and shiny red cab if you take part at the Sagebrush Soiree’s online auction.
The auction also features seven nights for eight in Moloka’i Hawaii, a Sun Valley Challenger ski pass, a luxury trip down the Bruneau River and two tickets to “Hamilton” in Boise, plus a host of other unique auction lots.
The auction is being held in conjunction with the Sawtooth Society’s annual 2021 Sagebrush Soiree fundraiser on Saturday, July 24. This year’s is a livestream celebration being broadcast from the Argyros Theater in Ketchum.
“Riders of the Purple Sage, The Making of a Western Opera,” will be shown after the livestream. The movie explores the Southwest’s influence on author Zane Grey, composer Craig Bohmler and painter Ed Mell as it reveals the real-life inspiration behind Zane Grey’s best-selling novel and the evolution of an adaptation of a classic American story for the Arizona Opera.
The Sawtooth Society was established in 1997 to preserve and enhance the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The Sagebrush Soiree generates 60 percent of the Society’s annual revenue.
