Poo Wright-Pulliam will lead a bird watching trip to Silver Creek Preserve from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1.
The program, organized by the Environmental Resource Center, will begin at The Nature Conservancy’s Silver Creek Preserve Visitor’s Center, which is located off Highway 20 on the Kilpatrick Bridge Road between Gannett Road and the Timmerman Hill traffic light.
First up: An introduction to the preserve, birding and winter birds that see Silver Creek Preserve as a haven in winter.
Participants will then head out on a snowshoe walk around the preserve to see the birds. Silver Creek’s winter bird population includes eagles, swans, grouse, ducks.
Participants should bring water, snacks and warm clothes. There is a suggested donation of $10 for ERC members and $20 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is encouraged; RSVP at 208-726-4333 or alisa@ercsv.org.
The final ERC Winter bird Walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Lions Park in Hailey.
