Judith McQueen has long leant her vocal talent and her culinary prowess to Sun Valley’s musical scene.
She’s sang with Caritas Chorale and in gigs with Sun Valley pianist Alan Pennay. And she’s catered dinners and buffets for the Caritas Chorale and Sun Valley Opera, in addition to A-list celebrities.
Tonight—Jan. 30—Judith McQueen will realize her dream to sing at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. The jazz concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will benefit Sun Valley Opera. Alan Pennay will provide the accompaniment.
Singing professionally is nothing new for McQueen. She was a professional jazz singer in Los Angeles before moving to Sun Valley. But a chance for a quieter, more sustainable life once she started a family made Sun Valley an enticing place.
Tickets range from $25 to $150 and are available at www.theargyros.org. The more expensive tickets include cabaret-style seating and complimentary wine.
