The Sun Valley Nordic Center will wrap up the 2023-24 winter season on Sunday, March 24.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The center was grooming such trails as the Trail Creek Loop, Proctor Loop and even Sidewinder on Friday. But with temperatures consistently climbing into the 50s this week, snow conditions are deteriorating rapidly.

Select Nordic apparel at the Center’s sports shop will be between 25 percent and 50 percent off through closing day.

Sun Valley Resort will make the transition from Nordic skiing to golfing quickly, with the Sun Valley Pro Sho and Virtual Golf opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, March 25.

The Blaine County Recreation District, meanwhile has plowed the bike path south of East Fork Road and it has quickly reverted to asphalt in this week’s warm temperatures. Officials say they have started plowing the path between Hulen Meadows and Cold Springs where some of the path has already melted on its own.
