PUG, the Pulaski Users Group, will throw their inaugural Hootenanny from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Hailey Grange.
The grange is located at 609 S. 3rd Ave. in Hailey, just down the street from the Senior Connection.
There’ll be live folk music by the Boise-based Hillfolk Noir, free food and drinks from 5B Foods and Sawtooth Brewery and a silent auction. And, most importantly, there’ll be a chance to hear about the work PUG is doing.
All ages are welcome.
The Pulaski Users Group (PUG) is a nonprofit based in the Wood River Valley that is devoted to community stewardship of our public lands, said Lex Carey.
“We work with local partner organizations, such as the Flourish Foundation, Sun Valley Community School and Sawtooth Brewery. to train volunteers to maintain and reclaim wilderness trails across Central Idaho. Through the action of trail work we aim to inspire community members to form a deep relationship with the natural world. We believe that spending quality time out in nature is the antidote for action and advocacy, while having your hands in the dirt, and creating tangible and positive change on the land, strengthens our connection to the Earth.”
