Dr. Tom Archie will moderate the Community State of the Valley Health Forum presented by the Wood River Women’s Foundation next week.

The forum will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at The Community Library in Ketchum. It will focus on the challenges that health care faces in the Wood River Valley.

Participants are:

  • Almita Nunnelee, COO/CNO of St. Luke’s Wood River
  • Alisa Barnes, with Family Health Services in Bellevue
  • Laurie Strand, owner and lead facilitator of Resiliency Rising
  • Jovita Pina, executive director of The Senior Connection.

The panel will describe how the COVID pandemic, the county’s increasing population and the aging of the population is affecting health care in the valley.

The State of the Valley Community Forum series is designed to provide information that will lead women to wiser, more effective philanthropic giving, said the Foundation’s new Board President Sandy McCullough.

“This is our first Forum focusing solely on the health issues that affect us all in Blaine County,” she added.

Participants who wish to attend in person can register at State of the Valley Forum with the Wood River Women's Foundation - LibCal - The Community Library or https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/9238379.
