Tickets for individual Pavilion talks at the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference are now on sale.
Tickets are being offered for Elizabeth Kolbert, Lauren Groff, Anthony Doerr and Arthur C. Brooks. The four are presenting from Saturday, July 16, to Monday, July 18.
Tickets are also available for Freestyle Love Supreme+, a sold-out-hip-hop comedy troupe fresh off Broadway and co-created by Lin Manuel Miranda, and a panel discussion moderated by Judy Woodruff.
The lineup:
SATURDAY, July 16, 3:45 p.m.—Anthony Doerr will discuss “Cloud Cuckoo Land,” while showing images from his seven-year journey writing his latest novel.
SATURDAY, July 16, 5:30 p.m.—Judy Woodruff will moderate a panel discussion featuring Stephen Kotkin, Yascha Mounk and Ben Rhodes titled “The March of the Autocrats.” They are expected to discuss everything from Ukraine and Putin to the rise of authoritarianism.
SUNDAY, July 17, 3:30 p.m. Lauren Groff, author of “Matrix,” a story of female ambition, power and creativity in a corrupted world, will discuss “Historical Fiction’s Radical Possibilities.”
SUNDAY, July 17, 5:15 p.m.—Elizabeth Kolbert, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “The Nature of the Future,” will talk with PBS NewsHour’s Jeffrey Brown as she takes a look at the new world we’re creating through biologists who are trying to preserve the world’s rarest fish, engineers who are turning carbon emissions to stone in Iceland and Australian researchers who are trying to develop a super coral that can withstand hotter temperatures.
MONDAY, July 18, 3:30 p.m.--Freestyle Love Supreme+ feature an improvisational hip-hop comedy musical group that won a special tony Award.
MONDAY, July 18, 5 p.m.—Arthur C. Brooks, a Harvard professor and The Atlantic’s happiness columnist, will discuss the priorities and habits that can set one up for increased happiness.
