Get ready to dip your toe in the water. BCRD’s Aquatic Center opens for the season on Saturday, May 28 and runs through Sept. 5.

The 25-yard, six-lane pool features a basketball hoop and a climbing wall. A zero-depth leisure pool includes a log roller.

A snack bar will be open during open swim. Swim lessons, youth swim team, lap swim, aquarobics classes and recreational open swim hours will be offered throughout the season.

Season passes are available for purchase online at https://www.bcrd.org/aquatic-center.php. Passes cost $192 for a family of four, $98 for adults and $81 for children 17 and younger and seniors 62 and older. The passes offer entry all summer long to open swim and lap swim.

An Aquarobics season pass is available for $120 for adults and $97 for seniors.

Day passes cost $8 for children and seniors, $10 for adults and $25 for families. A single Aquarobics class costs $10 for the general public and $7 for adults 62 and older.

The cabana can be reserved for $30 an hour, while facility rental starts at $300 for the first hour.

Youth Swim School offers group swim lessons for children 3 through 12 in two-weeks sessions beginning June 6 and running through Aug. 12. The 30-minute classes are skill-based and age-appropriate and run Mondays through Thursdays for $44 a session. There are openings on the Dolphins Swim Team, as well.

Registration is available online. Scholarships can be arranged at 208-578-2273.

Got lifeguard skills? BCRD is still in need of lifeguards. Applications are being taken online.
