STORY AND PHOTOS BY KAREN BOSSICK

Does your youngster know how to safely ride his or her bike through water? Across hoses? Up and down inclines?

The Ketchum Police Department and Higher Ground will hold their 11th annual Bike Rodeo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today—Saturday, May 21—at the Wood River Community YMCA Parking Lot in Ketchum.

There’ll be a free rider safety course, a bike safety check by local bike mechanics, free helmets for those who need one, bike decorating and an obstacle course.

There also will be prizes and healthy snacks.
