There’ll be two beer gardens sporting such beverages as Oktoberfest! Lost River Lager, Raspberry Hard Cider, Buck Snort Root Beer and Wine by the Glass.
The Sawtooth Brewery Outpost will be slinging bratwurst and other German-inspired pub faire, such as a warm Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese, schnitzel and pommes frites with apricot-mustard and beer cheese on the side.
The fun gets underway from 4 to 9 p.m. today--Friday, Sept. 17--with a Tapping of the Firkin’ by the mayor at 4 p.m., followed by live music at 5.
The beer garden will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, with live music beginning at noon and Beer Olympics at 3 p.m.
Teams participating in Beer Olympics must possess extraordinary skills in cornhole, stein hoisting, volume chug and the flip cup. Vying for Das Boot costs $40 a team and includes pint glasses and beer.
