Don your tin suit, magic red shoes and straw coat and follow the yellow brick road to the Sun Valley Pavilion Lawn.
The Sun Valley Opera will show the 1939 American musical fantasy film “The Wizard of Oz” at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6. And there will be a costume parade and contest beforehand at 5:45 p.m.

“Wizard of Oz,” considered one of the greatest films of all time, is based on L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel. It was directed primarily by Victor Fleming who left before it was finished to take over the troubled “Gone with the Wind.”
It stars, Judy Garland as Dorothy, along with Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr and Margaret Hamilton as the evil witch.
The film won Academy Awards for Best Original Song for “Over the Rainbow” and Best Original Score.
