Take inspiration from the pandemic in which we’re living as you learn to tell your story.
Company of Fools actor Chris Carwithen will lead a two-day workshop titled “Creating Through Crisis: Crafting Your Story in the Time of Pandemic” on Nov. 2 and 9 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.
The workshop, organized by the Sun Valley Museum of Art, will have participants share a personal experience during this time of worldwide disruption through the art of performance.
They will start with a monologue writing exercise, then perform that monologue before the class.
Carwithen made his 2012 Liberty Theatre debut in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” He has played in a number of COF productions since, including “A Year with Frog and Told,” “Almost, Maine,” and “Grey Gardens.” A theatre arts graduate from Southern Oregon University, he has been involved with a number of professional companies, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
The workshop runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 and 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 9. It costs $75 for SVMoA members and $85 for nonmembers. To reserve a space, visit www.smoa.org or 208-726-9491.
