The Wood River Land Trust will hold a cleanup party at Hailey’s Native Plant Arboretum from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22. The arboretum is located next to the Wood River bike path just north of Fox Acres Road in Hailey.

Volunteers will prune dead limbs, weed and prepare areas for wildflower seed and some plants.

Volunteers should bring their face masks, work gloves, water bottles and wear closed to shoes. Tools will be provided but volunteers are welcome to bring their own scissors, pruners, hand saws, shovels, hand trowels, rakes and small buckets, as well.

Volunteers can sign up at or just show up.

Thirty-five volunteers showed up, putting in 95 hours at the Land Trust’s third annual Big Wood River Cleanup Day. After all was said and done, they dropped off 1,100 pounds of trash at the Wood River Landfill.

Earlier, volunteers planted pollinator islands in Colorado Gulch and revamped the access path to Boxcar Bend.
