The Board Bin will stage its fourth annual Street Party & Creating for Skating Party from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.
There’ll be bands, a skateboard slalom and other festivities.
The highlight will be the Creating for Skating Skateboards, which will be displayed and auctioned off to raise money for Ketchum’s Guy Coles Skatepark.
Artists who want to contribute to the cause can pick up a blank canvas—skateboard—at the Board Bin. The store will take a $20 deposit, returning it when the skateboard is returned covered in art.
Meanwhile, Campion Ice House in Hailey will hold an Open House and Free Skate from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Participants will get a chance to meet the Sun Valley Suns hockey players and learn about Sun Valley Youth Hockey and other events the Ice House has coming up. Free refreshments will be served.
"We'll have activities for the kids, such as a shooting station with speed gun," said Sarah Benson, executive director of Hailey Ice.
The event serves as the kick-off for the popular Hailey ice rink.
