A mountain bike stunt show will be among the attractions at the City of Ketchum’s Summer Solstice Soiree.
The second annual Summer Solstice bash will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Ketchum Town Square. It’s meant to mark the start of the summer season, while celebrating Ketchum’s Dark Sky Community and the area’s International Dark Sky Reserve—one of just 13 in the world.
Among the attractions will be Robbie Pfunder’s Mountain Bike Trials Stunt Show. It features Robbie Pfunder, a four-time Mountain States Trials champion, and a junior world champion.
Pfunder got his start riding in New England where he gained a strong technical background riding on wet loose mossy East Coast terrain. He now lives in Colorado where he’s been pushing the limits ever since.
The Boise band Bread and circus will provide music and there will be a bungie trampoline, as well.
KB’s, Sawtooth Brewery, Warfield Distillery and Sun Valley Brewery will have food and drink for purchase. And the city will offer lighting tips to help protect the night sky.
