Galena Lodge Kicks Off Summer Season

There’s still some snow lingering on many of the trails. And the weatherman is even calling for a chance of snow this weekend.

But, rain or snow, Galena Lodge will open on Saturday, June 8, for the summer season.

The lodge will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through September. It will serve a light breakfast, coffee and baked goods beginning at 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Sunday brunch, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. will feature live music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Father’s Day Brunch will be held on June 16, as is customary, and the 5 p.m. Thursday night Wagon Rides and BBQ start up on June 27.

Hiking and biking the nearly 50 miles of trails around the lodge is free.

The lodge offers mountain bike rentals and lessons, as well as guided half-day and full-day trail rides

Horseback rides ranging from 1.5 hours to a full day are also available for a fee.

The lodge will also offer Kids Weeks for ages 6 through 8 beginning June 10 and July 1 and  a Youth Adventure Camp for ages 8 through 12 beginning June 17 and June 24.

Yurts are available for overnight accommodation.
