Give the car a day off and bike to work and school.
Mountain Rides is throwing its annual Bike to Work & School Day from 6:30 to 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, rain or shine.
Representatives of various nonprofits and businesses and schools will have booths set up between Cedar Street in Bellevue and the Edelweiss crossing on the bike path as it goes through Ketchum.
And they’d feel hurt if no one showed up to the party.
And—pssst—if it’s cloudy out, chances are there won’t be a headwind for those biking towards Ketchum.
If past years are any indication, Higher Ground will be cooking up breakfast burritos and Zenergy will offer a yummy health food concoction. Some of the bicycle guys will offer free air for your tires and NAMI representatives just might give you a shoulder rub if you beg hard enough.
And don’t forget those zany girls from the Big Wood School—who knows how what they’ll be up to this year!
Those taking part include Pioneer Montessori School, Community School, Higher Ground, The YMCA, Backwoods Mountain Sports, ClubRide, Formula Sports, St. Luke’s, PK’s, The Elephant’s Perch, Sturtevants, Natural Grocers, Zenergy, Marketron, Key Club International, NAMI-Wood River Valley, BCRD, Chartwells, Rocky Mountain Hardware, The Sage School, Power Engineers, Coffee Corner and Mountain Rides.
