Sun Valley Resort will again be in the spotlight when Idaho Public TV airs two shows featuring Ice Dance international.
The new show, “In Flight: The Art of ice Dance international” premiers at 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, on PBS-TV. It features the work of Trey McIntyre, who ran his dance group out of Boise for several years, as well as choreography by Douglas Webster and Benoit Richaud.
The show was filmed in the fall of 2018 on Sun Valley’s outdoor ice rink by Spencer Cordovano of Stella Adventure Media.
The show will repeat at 8 p.m. May 11 and at midnight and 2 a.m. May 12, said IDL’s Artistic Director Douglas Webster
“The World of Ice Dance International,” which debuted in 2018, will repeat at 8 p.m. Friday, May 17. It features dances choreographed by ballet meister Edward Villella and Douglas Webster in their efforts to fuse ballet with ice skating, elevating it to a new art form.
The show, filmed at Sun Valley Resort where Ice Dance International works up its shows, has previously been broadcast in Idaho 15 times. It will repeat at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. May 18 and at 1 a.m. May 19.
“In Flight” will air in the top three markets in the United States on American Public Television May 4 through 7.
