Rebecca Schroeder, the new executive director of, of Reclaim Idaho, will be among the speakers at the Blaine County Democrats’ annual Clint Stennett Social.
She will talk about the challenges to passing the Medicaid Expansion bill, which was the subject of contentious debate during the recent legislative session.
The social will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Valley Club Clubhouse north of Hailey.
And it will feature District 26 Sen. Michelle Stennett and District 26 Representatives Muffy Davis and Sally Toone. The three will offer their assessment of the 2019 legislative session, which was the third longest in history at 95 days.
Tickets are $50 for attendees 30 and older, $30 for young Democrats and will include drinks and hors d’oeuvres. A no host bar will be available. There’ll be a silent auction, as well. For tickets, visit blainecountydems@gmail.com.
Schroeder represents the statewide grassroots group behind the Medicaid Expansion ballot initiative. The group is planning to hold a meeting open to the public at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Blaine County Democrats headquarters at 16 W. Croy St. in Hailey. The huddle will look at upcoming plans and will include a statewide conference call at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Schroeder will also entertain questions over coffee at Democrat headquarters at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4.
