One day Colleen Crain and Jim Liesenfeld stowed their possessions and booked one-way tickets from Hailey to Cape Town.
Then they drove into the heart of Africa. They did the tourist thing, touring game parks and training their camera lenses on giraffes and lions. But their “overlanding” experience in Africa soon taught them that Africa was so much more than just savannah and elephants.
These two Hailey residents will offer a photographic journey of their experience in a free presentation titled “Adrift Overland: A Journey into the Heart of Africa” on Wednesday, April 17. The presentation starts at 6 p.m. at Ketchum’s Community Library.
