Ed Anderson will take the covers off his unique take on Americana during an evening of art talk Saturday, March 30.
Anderson, who has built a large following traveling and sketching his way through the world, will be at Saddletree Gallery in Ketchum at 6 p.m. to share his stories.
A native Minnesotan, he followed his love of nature to Boise where paints to music blaring from a beatbox in his studio overlooking the Boise River.
Anderson carved out a niche in the commercial world, providing art for such companies as Patagonia, Filson, Nissan and Simms. His work has been published in Gray’s sporting Journal, Sporting Classics, The Drake, Backcountry Journal and other publications.
When not working for others, he strives to catalog Americana, chasing down a Tarpon in Florida for a photograph or sketching the moment a bull tears out of a rodeo chute with a rider on his back.
Saddletree Gallery is located in The Courtyard at 360 East Avenue in Ketchum.
