Those who like to work in dirt are gearing up for a Master Gardener class to be offered on Wednesdays from Feb. 6 through April 17.
Early bird registration by Dec. 14 will save individuals and couples $50.
The class will run on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden south of Ketchum.
Southern Idaho Master Gardeners will teach a wide range of horticulture through interactive learning experiences. Those who take part in the 40 hours of instruction will receive a Master Gardener certification.
The popular course covers basic botany, soils and composting, insect and disease management, landscape design fruit and vegetable production, tree and shrub identification and care, water conservation and much more.
The course is returning back by popular demand after a two-year hiatus.
Cost is $200 for an individual and $275 for a couple, provided they register by Dec. 14. After that day the fee increases to $250 for individuals and $325 for couples.
The class is offered by the Sawtooth Botanical Garden and Southern Idaho Master Gardeners.
