STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

Wanted: Women to take part in Monday evening’s meeting of the Little Black Dress Club.

The philanthropic minded group will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden.

Each participant will be asked to contribute $100 to a pot. Then those present may nominate a local nonprofit organization for funding consideration, after which five of the nominees will be randomly selected.

Following a brief presentation about each of those five nominees, women will vote on which organization to gift the donations they have pooled.

Ellie Newman will also offer a brief update about KDPI FM Radio’s “Tune in to Kids,” to which the club donated $4,000 during its June meeting.

The Little Black Dress Club has donated more than $117,000 to organizations in the valley in the past seven years.

Those who cannot attend the Nov. 12 event may participate by sending a tax-deductible donation of $100 to Little Black Dress Club, Box 313, Hailey, ID 83333. All checks received will go directly to the winning organization and a recognition letter will be mailed to each donor.
