The Flourish Foundation will host A Celebration of Virtue on Aug. 17 at the Silver Bell Ranch in Hailey.
The fundraising dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the ranch at 98 Broadford Road.
The evening will focus on specific virtues, such as tolerance, with a speaker delivering an inspirational speech concerning virtues, said Flourish Foundation Founder Ryan Redman.
The Foundation’s Compassionate Young Leaders will also give a presentation about their just-completed trip to Morocco.
Redman said he found it an amazing experience as it erased misconceptions he’d had about Islamic culture. The group from Sun Valley came face to face with a people who were concerned about making ends meet—not about inflicting violence on others, Redman said.
Flourish Foundation’s emphasis on compassion taught the local youngsters well, he added.
“Our kids showed up and they were so open,” he said. “By the end, we were all brothers and sisters.”
Tickets for the dinner are $150 per person. For information about the dinner, or to reserve your seat, contact jamie@flourishfoundation.org.
