Can’t get enough of the red, white and blue?

There are still a few tickets available for this weekend’s “Let’s Party on!...Salute to America the Beautiful.” And Sun Valley Resort is offering a 15 percent discount on remaining seats.

The concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Sun Valley Pavilion will star two-time Tony Award winners Sutton Foster and Brian Stokes Mitchell, along with Craig Jessup conducting Salt Lake City’s American Festival Orchestra.

They will present an evening of pop, Broadway and patriotic classics. And the performance will be crowned with fireworks.

Foster received a Tony Award for Best Performing by a Leading Actress in a Musical in 2002 for her role as Millie Dillmount in “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” She received another Tony for her performance as Reno Sweeney in “Anything Goes” in 2011.

Mitchell, a baritone, won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2000 for his performance in “Kiss Me, Kate.”

Saturday’s concert was produced and co-sponsored by part-time Sun Valley resident Thomas S. Perakos, who won 10 out of 11 Tony Awards for “The Band’s Visit” at the 72nd Tony Awards. He pledged all the profits from that production’s Broadway run to benefit the Actors’ Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, healthcare and other services to elderly actors.

Perakos also produced the 2017 show at the Sun Valley Pavilion titled “A Salute to Broadway Under the Stars.” That show, which received rave reviews, featured Tony Award winner Kelli O‘Hara.

Saturday’s show will benefit the Sun Valley Opera and its outreach educational programs to children in the Wood River Valley. Sun Valley Opera has taken opera singers and critics into classrooms and provided students with free tickets to The Met: Live in HD screenings and other productions.

Perakos has also instituted a college scholarship that is given each year to a Sun Valley-area student to further his or her education in the area of the performing arts at the college level.

Tickets to Saturday’s show range from $50 to $150. For tickets to Saturday’s show call 208-622-2135 or visit https://www.sunvalley.com. To get the 15 percent discount, use the discount code: “July 4” at the Sun Valley Guest Center or at sunvalley.ticketfly.com.
