Siobhan Jameson was honored with the 2018 Carl A. Gray Memorial Award for nursing excellence this past week by the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation’s Board of Directors and the Harvey Gray Family.
Megan Tanous, the Foundation’s chief development officer, noted that Jameson is highly regarded for her nursing skills, work ethic and compassionate care.
Jameson works in surgical services at St. Luke’s Wood River where she is respected for her care spanning the time from before the operation through recovery.
She was among several nurses nominated by the hospital staff, with her selection voted on by the nursing staff.
Awards of distinction reflecting the hospital’s core values were also given to:
- Brittany McFarland, Emergency Department, for integrity.
- Traci Gaudreau, Medical/Surgical Department, for compassion
- Marjorie Newman, Family Health Clinic, for accountability
- Erika Monjara, Mother and Baby Department, for respect
- Siobhan Jameson, Surgical Department, for excellence.
