The Ketchum Innovation Center has relocated to a 3,200-square foot building at 180 6th Street W. in Ketchum.
The building is in the same block as the proposed new City Hall and within Ketchum’s Urban Renewal district.
KIC was able to negotiate a tenant-friendly lease, which allows it to invest its resources in delivering on the four pillars of its mission—mentorship, educational programming, community building and networking and capital solutions.
The transaction was made possible with the help of building owners John and Randi Kanellitsas, said KIC Board Chair Rick LeFaivre.
“We have spent considerable time over the past several months surveying the KIC community and partners in order to plan out the space in a way that optimally serves our market,” said CEO and Executive Director Kathryn Kemp Guylay.
KIC was founded in 2014 to help new and existing entrepreneurs to grow their business. To date it has worked with more than 150 local entrepreneurs.
The new building will be available for Wood River Valley businesses to grow through mentor meet-ups, educational seminars, networking events, company pitch nights and other events.
KIC was formerly headquartered in the old Ketchum Post Office on Sun Valley Road.
KIC will soon announce plans for when the building will be open for business, as well as plans for an open house and summer programming, said Leigh Barer.
