EDITOR'S NOTE...Tonight's BAH has been cancelled. But read further to learn about The Chamber's new office, Hailey's trees and more.
The Chamber will hold its monthly Business After Hours from 5 to 7 tonight—Thursday, Nov. 16—at Black Owl Coffee, 208 N. River St., Hailey.
The public is encouraged to check out the coffee shop, which opened a little more than a year ago and learn about The Chamber’s plans for the upcoming holiday season.
The Chamber just opened an office in the Ketchum Innovation Center in its mission to serve the business community of the entire Wood River Valley. The KIC office will augment its office at the Welcome Center near the rodeo ground, visible to those exiting Friedman Memorial Airport.
KIC is a good fit, given its work to foster new businesses and support entrepreneurs, said Chamber Director Jeff Bacon. Bacon added that The Chamber hopes to conduct more events in the north valley to get those businesses back in the public eye.
Bacon says the Hailey Tree Committee is looking for new members, especially from the business community, to sustain the community forest of Hailey, and keeping beloved trees happy and healthy. Contact Stephanie Cook or Linda Ries at piries@yahoo.com or 208-928-6313.
Black Owl Coffee is owned by Greg and Cara Feldstein, along with their friends Alex and Chelsea. It serves some unusual coffee drinks, including Coconut Caramel Revival, also known as CCR, and Dark Chocolate Cherry Mocha, in addition to a Mason Jar Shaken Iced Americano and more traditional coffee drinks like cappuccino.
It also offers egg scrambles, veggie wraps, tuna melts and Panini press egg burritos.
