Twenty-one Bellevue artists are throwing open their studios for their second annual Open Studios Tour on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22.
And they’ll kick it off with an artist’s reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Bellevue’s new Silver Creek Hotel.
Tour goers are invited to check out samples of the artists’ work at the hotel and the Bellevue restaurant 7Fuego today through Sunday.
“We’re pleased to be able to showcase our art in partnership with local businesses,” said Lee Higman, an artist and member of the Bellevue Artist Alliance Board. “The new hotel is a handsome facility and an excellent place to display our work, as is 7Fuego, which has a wonderful ambiance and great food.”
Tour maps are available at Mahoney’s Bar and Grill and the Sun Valley Garden Center, 771 N. Main St.
While a small community, Bellevue sports an increasing number of innovative artists, said quilter Janet Houts, whose work has been featured in national magazines.
“And it’s fun to be part of that growth,” she added.
