Yve Evans will join the Sun Valley Hallelujah Chorus in a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Sun Valley Opera house.
Though it takes place during the Sun Valley Jazz and Music Festival, no badge is required.
Evans, a favorite with jazz festival-goers and the chorus will sing such songs as "Ol' Man River," "Deep River," Nothing but the Water," "This Little Light of Mine" and "A Change Is Gonna Come."
Other songs will include "The Lord's Prayer," "I'll Fly Away," "Angels Watching Over Me," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," "I'm Available to You," and "Didn't I Tell you It will be Alright."
Chorus Director Patty Parsons-Tewson says the Sun Valley Hallelujah Chorus will perform its Christmas gift to the community--"The Promise" with the Footlight Dancers in mid-December. The first concert will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Community Campus in Hailey. The second will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood in Ketchum.
The chorus also plans to perform "Messiah," featuring tenor Jonathan Hill from Opera Idaho, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood.
