The 5 Bee Quilt Guild will host its 3rd annual quilt show today--Saturday, Oct. 7--in the Hailey Police facility next to McKercher Park. The facility was formerly the Armory.
The exhibit runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free. There will be approximately 50 quilts and crafts on display.
The highlight of the show is the wool applique raffle quilt made by members. Raffle tickets will be sold, and the quilt raffle winner will be announced in early December. The Quilting Goodness philanthropy group will be selling crafts to help fund their projects which support various community groups.
The quilt show also features a bed turning, in which a member will explain the story behind 15 quilts gathered in the Wood River Valley. Bed turning times are 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The funding for use of the building has been provided by:
Leslie Andrus, Dorothy Ann Outzs, Joyce Friedman, Anita Weissberg and Pamela George.
