Have you ever had a ball of fire ignited in your hand? Used a banana to pound a nail into a wooden plank? Been slimed by a puking plastic pumpkin?
If not, you’ll get the opportunity when Josh Denhart presents his Amazing Chemistry Show at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood.
The hour-long, educationally entertaining stage production uses fast-paced, engaging science experiments involving explosions, colored foam, liquid nitrogen and glow-in the-dark solutions.
The idea: to engage both kids and adults while sharing about God’s love for them.
Denhart, a former children’s pastor and high school chemistry teacher, created KidMin Science to meld his love for science and Christ. He also produces a show suitable for schools interested in STEM teaching.
The Church of the Big Wood is hosting the event as part of its Faith Lab Vacation Bible School program. Admission is $5 at the door.
The church is located at Warm Springs and Saddle roads in Ketchum across the street from the Wood River YMCA.
