The Ketchum Farmers’ Market is again coloring the Sun Valley summer.
The market is running from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 11 in its usual place on 4th Street cattycorner form Atkinsons’ Market.
With one exception: I will be held on Monday, July 3, to avoid the Fourth of July holiday, which falls on a Tuesday this year.
The Hailey Market will get underway two weeks from now and run Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. June 29 through Oct. 12. You’ll find it in a new place: on the east side of Main Street on Carbonate Street between Sun Valley Brewery and Christopher & Co.
Sun Valley Brewery will stage a beer garden and bands will strike up as the market winds down.
The later hours were designed to accommodate more-end-of-day customers as they get off work.
This year’s vendors include GMA Honeys Healing Salve, xM.Designs, PJ’s Garden from Jerome with heirloom vegetables and Agrarian Harvest, bringing organically certified vegetables, eggs, pork, chicken and beef from Buhl.
Other vendors include Wood River Naturals with its homemade body essentials, Wood River Ranch Beef, M&M Heath Organics bringing potatoes, beans, tomatoes and squash from Buhl; Shooting Star Farm from Hailey, Lost River Meats form Mackay, Wood River Sustainability Center with baked bread, salsa and more; Picabo Desert Farm with its elk meat, goat cheese and yogurt; Katie’s Kakes, Lavender Goddess, Peanut Gallery, Wood Creations and Kelejete nutritional jete bar.
