Swiftsure Ranch Therapeutic Equestrian Ranch has unveiled a new logo—a helping hand with a horse.
The logo is designed to reflect the therapeutic equestrian center’s mission of providing equine-assisted activities and therapies to encourage the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children and adults with disabilities and other challenges.
The ranch also created a new tagline “Horses Changing Lives” as part of the rebranding effort.
Horses can be our mirrors, said Jeffra Syms, president of the Board of Directors. Their behaviors, sensitivities and natural bonding tendencies can help unravel a person’s emotional and physical tensions and anxieties.
The unique relationship between human and horse can also increase confidence, patience and self-esteem, Syms said, while riding a horse moves a disabled person’s body in a manner similar to a human gait so that a person with Parkinson’s and other challenges often shows improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength.
The rebranding effort serves to communicate that it is the relationship between horses, staff and care recipient that really frames the picture of who and what comprises Swiftsure, Syms added.
The nonprofit Swiftsure Ranch Therapeutic Equestrian Ranch, located south of Bellevue on Highway 75, provides programs and services free of charge to about a hundred participants per week. To learn more, visit www.swiftsureranch.org or call 208-578-9111.
