Gear up for the mountain biking season in Sun Valley with the GiddyUP! Film Tour on June 7.
The tour will feature short films shot in mountain bike meccas in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, California, Washington, Georgia and Arkansas, as well as Europe and Africa.
The films start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the Sun Valley Opera House.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Amy D. Foundation, established in 2013 after professional cyclist Amy Dombroski was killed during a training ride in Belgium. The foundation supports women through cycling.
A raffle will be held for the local Wood River High School Mountain Bike team, with prizes donated from Club Ride, the Wood River Bike Coalition and Sun Valley Resort. Raffle tickets are $5 per tickets or $20 for five.
The Warfield Distillery and Brewery will be on site as co-sponsor of the event. And ticket holders will receive a 20 percent discount on food purchased at Sun Valley Resort restaurants the day of the show.
Tickets are $11 and can be purchased online at www.sunvalley.com, at the Sun Valley Recreation Office or at the door the day of the show.
