Are there lessons Sun Valley can learn from Jackson, Wyo., when it comes to affordable housing?

April Norton will try to answer that when she is featured in a free presentation titled “Learning from Peer Communities: Housing Lessons and Opportunities with Jackson, Wyoming’s Housing Director.” The presentation will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Ketchum’s Community Library.

Norton will be joined by Mary Wilson, co-founder and director of the Wood River Community Housing Trust, a non-profit corporation formed to acquire or develop affordable rental housing for the middle-income workforce.

Norton joined the Jackson/Teton County Housing Department as its first director in 2016. The tools she has used include deed-restricting housing units.

The program is being held in collaboration with the City of Ketchum.
