Sun Valley Offers Future of Sun Valley Website

Sun Valley has launched a new website that will enable Sun Valley skiers and other members of the community to stay updated on development plans for Bald Mountain.

The site will keep readers abreast of plans to build a new six-passenger chairlift in Warm Springs, construct a new Flying Squirrel Chairlift and extend the Flying Squirrel trail and snowmaking.

Sun Valley Resort hopes to open the new chairlifts by the winter of 2023-24.

“Warm Springs is a beloved part of the Sun Valley experience,” explained Sun Valley Resort Vice President and General Manager Pete Sonntag. “To honor this legendary terrain, we are embracing a new generation of lift technology, which will serve to enhance the overall guest experience—from quicker lift rides and new runs to expanded base area amenities—this project will allow us to showcase more of what our Sun Valley community already loves about Baldy.”
