Check out your friends’ and neighbors’ sizzling chilis and help the upcoming 4th of July fireworks show sizzle at the same time.

Firefighters, restaurant chefs and others are concocting their best for bragging rights in Sunday’s 5B Father’s Day Bash and Chili Cook-off.

Chili tasting takes place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Carbonate Street and First Avenue near the Sun Valley Brewery.

Sun Valley Brewery will provide the beers. Michaela French will provide live music. There’ll be kids’ activities.  And there will be a raffle for prizes.

The Chili Cook-Off is a fundraiser for Hailey’s 4th of July fireworks and Hailey firefighters.

Tickets are $10 for unlimited tastings. A pint glass good for Sun Valley Brewery beer will be available for sale, as well.

Chili chefs will vie for a variety of trophies, including General Public, Restaurant and Public Safety.

The Chamber is now soliciting sponsors for the Days of the Old West Parade and Fireworks. Call the Chamber at 208-788-3484.
